Artists-in-Residence include painters, sculptors, curators, writers and poets, art school teachers and students, art enthusiasts, and other people who are engaged in artistic activities as a career or part-time job, and who have a desire to learn about and move into the international art market. The main content of the Art Residency includes visiting and inspecting museums, art museums, galleries and other art venues in Edmonton, Calgary, Banff and other cities in the province of Alberta, Canada, for indoor and outdoor creations, behavioral conceptual creations and landscape sketching. Participate in various art activities organized by local artists' associations and related art institutions; communicate with artists in the region, etc., to understand and learn about art in North America and to gain opportunities to display one's talent on the international art stage.
In Alberta, Canada, the most unique feature is the one-month Artist-in-Residence program. The program is designed to provide an environment for artists to focus on their creative work while promoting intercultural exchange and understanding. The residency program provides accommodation, airport transfers, and the necessary support and resources during the residency to allow artists to focus on their work and research. During the residency, artists have the opportunity to explore Alberta's rich natural environment and unique cultural resources, and to interact with the local community and other artists in residence. Such exchanges and interactions not only foster collaboration and creativity among artists, but also promote understanding and respect among different cultures. The significance of the residency program is to provide a unique opportunity for artists to explore and create in different environments, thereby stimulating creativity and innovative thinking. To understand and learn about art in North America and to gain exposure to showcase one's talent on the international art scene. At the same time, this can also facilitate the development and promotion of the arts, enhance cultural diversity and inclusiveness, as well as promote international cultural exchange and cooperation.
